How to include or exclude organic search engine traffic on an Experience


You may want to include or exclude organic traffic originating from a search engine. This is possible within Convert.


You can configure this by creating a New Audience and adding it to your experience.

While editing the audience select the Medium condition that is located under Traffic Sources:


Drag the Medium condition to the right audience conditions and configure it as you please. Note that there are OR and AND operators you can use to join with other conditions.

If you want to exclude organic traffic, then change the comparison operator from the default Matches Exactly to Does not Match Exactly.

The utm medium values to match organic traffic for the different search engines are the following:

Google: organic

Bing: referral

Yahoo Search: organic
