THIS ARTICLE WILL HELP YOU:
Introduction
When attempting to create experiments with the Visual Editor on pages hosted by Squarespace, the changes don't seem to get saved.
Convert's Visual Editor relies on the page element classes to remember which element must be changed.
Squarespace creates dynamic classes, which confuses the Visual Editor, and does not let it remember the elements that must be changed.
Ignore Dynamic Classes
The method to get around this problem is to configure the Visual Editor to ignore these dynamic classes.
- Go to the Visual Editor, and go to Settings.
- Then select the "Element Selection Settings".
- And enter the "yui" text on the form, and "Save Changes". This means that when selecting elements inside the editor, ignore attribute (classes, IDs) values that contain yui. This is mandatory since YUI and BLOCK-YUI selectors are dynamic inside Squarespace.
This will allow you to create your experiments with pages hosted on Squarespace. You will need to do the same for each experiment you create on a Squarespace pages.
