Common Questions
Targeting Mobile, Tablet, and Desktop
THIS ARTICLE WILL HELP YOU:
Target Different Devices
In addition to target by browser and user agent that gives you great freedom to target very specific user-types, it is hard to keep these audience profiles up to date.
Convert Experiment supports device detection where we monitor devices based on Akamai CDN device lists and give you the option. The Advanced Rule Builder has three elements to test on:
- Device is Mobile
- Device is Tablet
- Device is Desktop
These device targeting will be more accurate and kept up to date with the new browsers that appear on the market.
Important: Some tablet devices are also marked as mobile so it could be happening that one device falls into more than one categories. If one would want to target only mobile phones and exclude tablets he would have to create the audience like: Device is Mobile ->Yes AND Device is Tablet -> No
