Integrate Convert Experiences with Clicky

This Article Will Help You:

Introduction

Integrating Clicky with Convert Experiments allows you to view reports of your Convert experiments in the Clicky Analytics Dashboard.

For each experiment, the integration will pass along the experiment name and variation name that the Visitor is currently bucketed into (if any) using clicky_custom properties. With these properties, Clicky lets you attach custom data to visitor sessions.

Below we describe the internal integration with Clicky that Convert supports with Custom Tracking. There is also an article if you you want to use Clicky Split Tests.

Add Tracking Code Snippets

Make sure the Convert tracking code and the Clicky tracking code are installed on your page. Convert Tracking Code can be found on Project Configuration:

Clicky Tracking Code can be found under Dashboard > Tracking Code:

Activate Integration in Convert

Go to your Convert experience settings and under Integrations select the Clicky. Then click Save and Continue. Once activated, Clicky will automatically capture all active experiments and exposed variation for a given page.

This is done through Visitor property in Clicky and Visitor Keys Cookie property, where we add Convert's custom data (e.g. Experiment name, Variation name).

Verify Installation

The easiest way to verify that your integration code is correctly installed is to:

  1. Go to the page you are running these tests on.
  2. Go to Clicky > Custom to see if the experiment you visited shows up.

Tips

It may take up to 10 minutes for the experiment to show up. If you don’t see it at first, give it a little time.

Clicky custom data tracking are Pro-only features, so you might have to upgrade to Clicky Premium to see this data.
