If you have a user profile that you want to target and you already have data on users that you want to use to enrich the user experience, you can easily transfer user based information using specific URL queries. If you just add man/female details to a URL anytime during the user session you can create segments in Convert Experiments that pickup this query.

Use either "Page URL" or "Query string" in Audiences to pick up for example &s=1 or &s=2 URL additions to create 1=male and 2=female Audiences in Convert Experiments.
